Skateboarding!

An exciting event happened on this very day . . . WE HAD SKATEBOARDING!!!!!  There were two trainers whose names were Ben and Lawrance. When they had finished introducing themselves we had a little try at skateboarding around the court. Plus if you were wondering yes we did use the whole court and we had lots of fun doing it. After we did that we went down and tried to skate up the court and after when they said freeze half of the court went with Lawrance and the other half went with Ben. I went with Lawrance And with three of my friends: Angelina, Hosanna and Faith. We first learned how to balance on the skateboard. We balanced on the skateboard and did a kung fu pose. Then we went and tried to do some turns. We learn a lot of turns like: Sharp turns, carving and my favourite one the snake. I fell off once but got back up again. We also did the tic tac which was part of the sharp turns. Plus the crab walk that was hard for me because I kept on rolling away and not moving. It was really fun and I would love to do it again because it was a fun way to exercise and a good way to you know have fun!

I'm sorry about the photos but they are not working.

Production

Talofa Bloggers,

For one whole week we used Waikowhai Intermediate's hall. We used their hall for our production Jasmine and Aladdin. On Monday we had a rehearsal and did the exact same thing on Tuesday. But on Wednesday morning we had a rehearsal like none other. We had a REAL AUDIENCE and two schools came, Waikowhai Intermediate (pretty obvious) and Hay Park school. I was pretty nervous even if I had a short time on stage but I bet EVERYBODY had like half a bit of butterflies. But back to this Wednesday: We finished our morning show. Now we were ready for all our family members or anybody else that was going to come. I was feeling excited because you know its my first time here at Waikowhai Primary doing a production. While I was watching the other dances and scenes Me, Rael and Martin kept on asking if our face paint was smudged. It felt weird and it even had a smell??? Anyway, it was finally our turn to go on. I tried not to look at the audience but it didn't quite work out. I took half a second looks to try and find my family. I did the exact same thing on Thursday and Friday but on Friday when I was supposed to say "What's a lamp mama?" I was daydreaming and the audience knew there was a pause there. My opinion of this production is . . . . .
